In the absence of 'everything'.
A snapshot of my experience on my first Vision Quest.
In this post you will find:
A poem that I wrote right after my first Vision Quest in Pikikirunga, New Zealand.
Upcoming online space for Women and Mothers: The Joys and Challenges of Motherhood.
A new video on The Art of Holding Space.
The Wild.
No straight lines. No sharp concrete shapes. No smartphones. No cheap distractions.
No predictability. No control. No roof, no bed, no blanket, no confort. No light, no work, no distraction, no messages. No problems to solve, no calendar, no tomorrow, or later or yesterday. No food, no time, no book, no paper, no one.
One moment—an open, luminous sky.
The next breath—a storm:
thunder splitting the air,
light flashing,
wind rushing from every direction,
endless rain pouring down,
the tarp pulled hard against my face.
To expect to know
is to become a fool of the mystery
and to throw away
the sacred gift of being alive.
To begin meeting the wilderness,
something in me had to die.
The loud chattering of my mind.
The rush to get somewhere.
The clinging expectation of what should come next.
The desire to be the god
who controls what is to come.
To become wilderness,
everything I believed myself to be
had to die.
“I am strong” “I am bad”
“I am present”
“I am love”
“I am creative”
“I am good”
All of it needed to perish,
to rot,
to return to the soil.
So I could become light enough
to move with the wind—
to let it carry me
to where I belong.
So, at least for one breath,
I could carry
no-thing.
To begin meeting the wilderness,
something else in me had to come alive.
My awake bodies
moving at the pace of water.
The utter silence
and stillness
that holds everything.
Trust in intuition and instinct.
Movement without calculation.
Emptiness enough to receive,
to listen.
A hunger for freedom—
for wildness
in the way I move,
sing,
speak,
and look at the world.
In the meeting
of what died
and what came alive,
I found my way to the untamed force of Nature.

Motherhood: Living Wilderness in daily life.
This same terrain is what we will explore in the upcoming online space that I’ll be holding space with Hannah Abouzahrah- The Joys and Challenges of Motherhood.
Motherhood—whether lived biologically, relationally, or archetypally—is one of the profound initiations into wilderness.
It confronts us with exhaustion, fear, tenderness, rage, love, grief, joy—often all at once.
We welcome you to this 4 week-practical journey for mothers, caregivers and educators who want to cultivate more of their presence, clarity and collaboration.
It has become clear to us that this journey starts with you learning how to hold space for yourself as a Woman, before extending your space holding to your children. When your space is clear, you can hold a wider space for your children to grow into.
From this spaciousness you can also move from holding your child close and safe into holding space for their empowerment, allowing them to blossom and more than simply survive, to thrive.
Are you ready to take care of your space? For you? And for your children?

The Art of Holding Space with Janet Redmond: Relational Dynamics, Unmet Needs and Co-Dependence
This conversation with Janet Redmond is part of The Art of Holding Space — an ongoing exploration of the skills, matrix, and inner work to holdspace for growth and evolution, and enable people to take on higher levels of responsibility.
The Art of Holding Space is a series of conversations in which I invite people who I am inspired by and who work in the fields of evolution, growth, and transformation.
You’re welcome to watch this as a spaceholder, practitioner, or simply as a human in relationship.
In this specific video we speak about:
– What “dynamics” actually are and how to notice them
– Power and responsibility in relationships
– The importance of identifying the unmet need for healing to happen
– Co-dependency ias a pattern of relating between someone who plays the role of parent-provider in a relationship and someone who plays the role of child-consumer.
